Welcome to the MumSafe Pro podcast. As this week's episode launches, it will be school holidays here in Queensland. And despite my very best efforts when I launched series three, I had five to six weeks of recordings and episodes all ready to go in the bank to go live every single Monday. I had one Friday per month scheduled in to record three to four more episodes and I had a plan
to make sure that I was never chasing my tail again and recording episodes week to week, which between you and I was exactly what I did in series one and two. And I did that because I knew that if I didn't set myself a deadline and I didn't get this podcast out into the world, it was never going to happen. So sometimes there is a huge amount of merit in setting deadlines and just doing whatever you need to do to get it done. However,
Upon reflection at the end of series two, I decided that I didn't want to do that again. What I had been doing was chasing my tail. I'd had somebody doing the recording of my podcast, sorry, the editing of my podcast for me, but I was doing everything else from uploading to the show notes, to creating the reels, to everything that had to be done aside from the editing component. This year, year three, series three,
I made a conscious decision to make sure that I had pre-recorded a lot of episodes before we even launched and I had somebody else on our team taking the recordings, editing them, uploading them, doing the show notes, putting everything into the system where it needed to be and also providing me with the reel each week to post on my Instagram and that was working really, really well. And then six weeks ago, our Mumsafe retreat happened.
which was an incredible weekend, but that for me marked the start of a six week sprint in what I'm gonna call energy out. So straight after our retreat, when I should have been taking time out, I flew down to Melbourne to do a guest recording on another podcast, which coincidentally launches this week. I will share it when my episode goes out there.

I ran safe return to exercise for a women's only gym in Pakistan, which was done over two different weeks running Friday and Saturday evenings. I delivered that via Zoom. I went down to Sydney to deliver a face-to-face teaching for Belgravia, which is a leisure center in Sydney. And last week I was back in Sydney again for the Oz Fitness Expo where I was doing a bunch of panels.
I was there for the OzActive Awards where, if you haven't seen Instagram or my Instagram, over the last couple of days, Mumsafe took out the CPD Provider of the Year Award, which I'm really, really excited about because Mumsafe really is about elevating the standard of the fitness industry through certified education.
and not only certified education, but making sure that you've got all of that business support as well so that the beautiful knowledge that you have within your business can then be put out into the world with a solid business behind it to back it. So to me, that award was awesome. I had a board meeting on Saturday and I found myself once again chasing my tail because to conserve my energy, I stopped doing my Friday batch recordings.
Now the last two weeks I've managed to bring episodes to you that I feel like had really, really, really great value. But now, it's school holidays this week in Queensland and quite frankly, I need a break. And so in this episode, it's gonna be a very, very short episode. I want to remind you that whilst being on the path to being consistent,
is incredibly important to get to where you want to be, like I shared on last week's episode. If you haven't listened to that, go back and listen. But I also wanted to give you permission to take a fucking break when you need it. In fact, in a better way, you'll have breaks scheduled into your whole year so that you never get to the point where you have to take a break.
Jen Dugard (04:33.378)
But if you do, you get to do it because at the end of the day, it's your business and it's your rules. And that's one of the reasons why we create these beautiful businesses to support us in our lives, with our families, and to allow us to take a break when we need it. Now I do understand that some, the majority of you will be running face-to-face training sessions and those breaks need to be scheduled. And that's one of the main reasons why inside Mumsafe, we encourage all of our Mumsafe trainers to work in four terms.
The reason we do this, whether they've got older children or younger children, is because if you're working in four terms, you organically can choose to break to create or to have four holidays per year. Now, many of our trainers have a bigger holiday over the Christmas period, but then you will also take at least one, so one to two weeks at Easter in June, July, and also in October, October, sorry, September, October. Now, when you've got those schedule breaks,
then you're a lot less likely to get burnt out and just need to stop within your business. This gives me a good opportunity to reflect on the way I'm doing things.
Jen Dugard (05:49.291)
So that's what I'm doing. This is not a full episode recording. I'm not wrangling a guest at the very last minute. I'm gonna be here, or I am here, showing up and sharing with you that it's absolutely okay to do what is right for you and take some downtime during your journey. In fact, it's actually a non-negotiable and that's something I have to remind myself of because I also have that little voice that creeps in and says, but I can't stop.
I've got so much to get done, but what if I only do this one thing? Or what if I take a break but I take my computer with me so I can just do a little bit of work here and there? But we all need that reminder to make sure that we do completely tune out for a period of time so that we can come back and we can rest and we can replenish because we've relaxed. So I'm going to be taking a little break this week from Tuesday to Friday.
That means that there will be no new episode next Monday, but we will be re-releasing one of our most popular previous episodes, just in case you missed it. And in this episode, I have a little offer inside of it for you. You know by now that alongside my unwavering passion for elevating the standard of the way mums are looked after across the industry at every stage of motherhood,
You'll also know that I am relentless in helping fitness business owners that align with this message to do well in their business and across their whole life. What you may not know is that I get a lot of messages from people asking for business support and I can't always answer every single one because my energy generally has to go to those people that have chosen to step into MumSafe. But I thought that I could create a little bit of a win-win with this offer.
So I'm offering five either solo PT's or small fitness business owners the opportunity to have a one-off, one-on-one coaching session with me absolutely free. Now, the only caveat is that we will be recording our coaching session and it will become a podcast episode because I know that whilst we often feel alone in our struggles, there are so many other people struggling with the same things.
Jen Dugard (08:12.332)
And when we are brave enough to share our journey, then others are helped along the way. Now I'm in need of new podcast episodes and you're in need of coaching. So we get to come together and create this beautiful win-win scenario. A coaching session with me is usually around $550. So this is a really, really great opportunity to gain support, feedback, and to move forward within your business.
I'd like to say one of my superpowers is helping you to connect the dots between where you are right now and where it is that you want to be and doing it in a way that helps you to feel supported and like you know what the next step is along the way. So I would absolutely love if the words that I'm saying and you're getting a little bit excited about the opportunity of a one-on-one coaching session, I would absolutely love to support you.
So if you are one of those people listening and you would love to grab one of those spots, even if you're a little bit nervous about it, all you have to do is shoot me an email to jen at mumpsafe.com.au with the word coaching in the subject line, along with a little bit about you, the kind of support you're looking for or problem that you're facing at the moment. And I will reply with a Calendly link to the five
I would want to say lucky, the five brave people that have chosen to put themselves out there and ask to be supported in the way that they need to be supported. To make this completely fair, this is open to our current MomSafe trainers as well as anyone else that works with moms of any age or stage in some capacity within their business. So what are the biggest misconceptions that we have about MomSafe? And I know that this is not necessarily about MomSafe.
is that you must run a Mums and Bubs fitness business. That is absolutely untrue. The goal of Mumsafe is to support any business that works with Mums in any capacity. And that is the goal with this coaching session. So if you have a fitness business of some description and you work with Mums in some capacity, it could be Mums and Bubs group, could be women over 45, it could be the fact that women...

come into your general population classes. There is no one size fits all scenario. Now as you listen to this, I'm getting ready for a little staycation in a hotel not too far from home with my 15 year old daughter where I will not be taking along my computer. But I will be taking a copy of Kemi Neckfer-Peel's book, Grounded Success, and forcing myself to take some time out. So.
please send in your applications to be one of our guest spots on the podcast. You may not hear from me straight away with that link, but you will hear from me or one of my team over the next seven to 14 days if you are someone that has been successful in your request for support. So remembering that.
You send an email to jen at mumsafe.com.au with the word coaching in the subject line, along with a little bit about you and the kind of support or problem that you're asking for support with. And we will get back to you with a calendar link to book that in. So as I wrap up today, a very, very short episode, I'd like to remind you that you are the person that powers your business forward.
And if you are not looking after you, then at some point, the whole thing is going to fall over. Yes, from last week's episode, we need consistency. But in order to create consistency, we need nurturing of ourselves, looking after of ourselves, and the opportunity to replenish. That is me for today. Over and out. Have a beautiful week. Enjoy next week's.
most popular episode coming back into your ears if you've not heard it before. And if you have, sometimes it's good to listen for a second time because we definitely pick up new information, new things drop in and we just hear things a different way the second time around. Have a beautiful week. I will be back with you in your ears in a couple of weeks. Post my little break. If you wanna follow along, you can find me on Instagram at Jen Dugard. I will be posting there because I like it and it's just kind of fun.
